Lost 24 lbs, 34.5 inches & 12.2 % body fat!
After gaining several pounds, despite healthy eating and exercise, I consulted my physician. She, unfortunately, had no answers and even suggested a weight loss supplement. I knew that this would only be a temporary fix. Seemingly stuck in an overweight body, I decided to take matters into my own hands. At 27-years-old I knew I would only have this body once, especially once I became pregnant.
I scheduled my free consultation with Kristin and before I knew it I was on my way to a new lifestyle. The beginning was definitely a challenge; however, my weekly meetings helped me persevere. Eventually, the eating (counting carbs, fat, and protein) became second nature. The weight seemed to practically fall off after that. In fact, I even asked Kristin when I would stop losing weight!
I had never experienced such success with a weight loss program. I lost 24 pounds, 12.2% body fat, and 34.5 inches! I am now much lighter on my feet and have fallen in love with running. This past year I ran two 5Ks and I cannot wait to run a few more this year!

I have a long history of diabetes in my family. My grandmother died from complications of her diabetes and my mother was recently diagnosed. I decided I should go in for a physical. My doctor basically told me that is wasn’t a matter of if I get diabetes, but when. That scared me a little. He said if I changed my diet I could prolong my chances of getting diabetes.
I have been an avid runner for a few years now, so working out came easy for me. My problem was educating myself on nutrition and eating habits and balancing that with exercise. My wife actually introduced me to Kristin at Nu Balance. She taught me how to eat correctly with a healthy balance between carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. She also showed me a new way to work out which included cardio workouts and strength training.
Within the first 10 weeks I had lost 10 pounds and 8% body fat. I have more energy to play with my two children and am now involved in an Australian Football League! But the most important thing I learned is proper eating habits can lead to a healthier lifestyle.
